Game Recap, Nov 9 - Warbirds vs Grizzlies

by Eli Reaves

Back home in Casper, the Warbirds would host a Military Appreciate Night! During the first period, Rock Springs would come out flying, quickly scoring two goals. These goals were each the first of the season for Keenan Rosas and Charlie Kranglin Hedberg, and they put the Grizzlies up for an early 2-0 lead. Casper would come out in the second period with more fight, as Josh Galizia would find the back of the net and cut the Grizzlies’ lead down to 1. But Rock Springs would answer right back when Charlie Kranglin Hedberg would get his second of the game, putting Rock Springs back up by 2. With time winding down, Warbirds Captain Ryan Coots would get his second of the season and once again put the win within reach for Casper. Just 30 seconds into the third, the Grizzlies would quickly score, with Kaleb Pitman getting his eighth of the season. The Grizzlies were widening their lead, but the Warbirds were still competing hard. Theo Priem would score, giving life back to Casper. On a powerplay, Joseph Ziska would get his first goal as a Warbird, finally making it a tie game. Both teams would lock down on defense and, with strong goaltending on both sides, once again we would be going to overtime. With another powerplay for the Warbirds, Ty Bashaw would win it for Casper giving them their 6th win of the season!
